Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack collaborates regularly with volunteers and organizations within our community to organize inventory, write notes of encouragement included in our weekend food bags, assemble weekend food bags, and deliver weekend food bags to each program school. By offering evening, monthly Community Assembly (generally on the 3rd Thursday of each month) events, as well as private packing events families, clubs, corporate groups, and other organizations have an opportunity to gather for one hour to serve local children in a meaningful atmosphere of service and fellowship.
Donations may be dropped off at the Bayou City Blessings room at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church (12535 Perthshire Road; Houston, TX 77024) by appointment, at an Open Assembly, or on Sunday mornings in the Food Focus collection boxes.
For large donation drop offs, please call 713-468-7796.

It is not how
much we give but the love we put into giving.

When a child comes looking for food, that means I really don’t have it. BCB allows our kids to feel love coming from us and that allows us to build a relationship with them, with our parents which is critical, and with our community.
